Nevermined

NEVERMINEDA3 · direct accessManage supplier listing

A PAN-free agent-spend audit and mandate log built on live Visa Intelligent Commerce rails. Per agent transaction the record binds: the x402 payment-request header presented at a paywall, Nevermined's verification verdict, the one-time VIC cryptogram issued as the payment credential, the DPAN (device provisioned account number) bound to Nevermined as token requestor rather than any real card number, the spending mandate in force at the time (amount cap, currency, expiry, maximum transaction count), the instant-revoke event when a principal cut an agent off, and Stripe settlement through real acquiring banks. Card data is captured by VGS and sent directly to Visa, so Nevermined states it never sees or stores raw PANs — the audit log is therefore machine-action and mandate data with no cardholder credential inside it. Enrollment and control happen either through a visual dashboard or programmatically over x402, so the same record shape is produced on both paths

Format
Tabular audit-log records produced on both a dashboard and a programmatic path, described as exportable audit logs for regulators; delivery is HTTP-native with no SDK, with x402 as the programmable layer on top of tokenisation. Supporting objects are structured: spending mandates with amount, currency, expiry and transaction-count limits, DPAN and cryptogram references, and Stripe settlement linkage. AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, with data deletion honoured under GDPR
Volume
Modest in rows, unusually clean in structure. Est. low tens of thousands of agent transactions to date. The genuinely licensable quantity is not transaction count but the mandate corpus: every enrolled card contributes a structured statement of delegated authority, and revoke plus mandate-breach events are the scarce observations. Because the audit log is PAN-free by architecture, the volume of licensable rows here is effectively the whole audit log rather than a redacted subset
Users
N/A as a consumer base — B2B and prosumer payments infrastructure with a self-serve dashboard. Institutional estimate: tens to a few hundred principals who have enrolled a card (bounded by a 15-person, $7.3M seed company and by current eligibility being US-issued consumer Visa cards only, with corporate cards and Chase-issued cards excluded)

Growth
Active and recently shipped — described as production Visa Intelligent Commerce enrollment rather than a sandbox, with DPANs bound to Nevermined as token requestor under Visa-managed lifecycle, live Stripe settlement, an enterprise Trust Center carrying SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and PCI attestations, and multiple parallel solution pages (Visa virtual cards, card delegation) indicating an expanding product surface
Launched
Company ~2020-2021 (provider organisation record from that window, $7.3M seed, Zug); the VIC virtual-card product is ~2025-2026, necessarily after Visa Intelligent Commerce became available to enrol and after x402 emerged as the programmable layer it builds on
