A fixed-panel longitudinal server-side traffic index measuring the AI-exchange relationship between AI platforms and content publishers. Built from server-side logs on a constant panel of 173 connected business websites, restricted to sites with at least 25 reporting days in both compared windows, so panel attrition does not distort the series. Every AI visit is split by what the request actually was: citation-driven visits, where a person's prompt caused the page to be fetched and the human then arrived, versus crawler visits for training and indexing. Issue 2 (25 Jun to 23 Aug 2026, 30 days against 30 days) reports total AI visits rising 36.9% from 69,916 to 95,691, with citation-driven visits up 65.1% (28,325 to 46,778) against crawler visits up 19.8% (43,102 to 51,630), a 3.3x divergence, plus the mix shift from 39.6% to 47.5% and a 67/33 split of panel sites growing versus falling. Index #1 established that AI crawlers already out-hit Googlebot while returning under 1% of visitors; Issue 3 then reversed direction with crawler requests up 33.2% and user-triggered fetches down 34.6%.
