EZY (ezy.ai / EZY Research) — A fixed-panel longitudinal server-side traffic index measuring the AI-exchange relationship between AI platforms and content publishers. Built from server-side logs on a constant panel of 173 connected business websites, restricted to sites with at least 25 reporting days in both compared windows, so panel attrition does not distort the series. Every AI visit is split by what the request actually was: citation-driven visits, where a person's prompt caused the page to be fetched and the human then arrived, versus crawler visits for training and indexing. Issue 2 (25 Jun to 23 Aug 2026, 30 days against 30 days) reports total AI visits rising 36.9% from 69,916 to 95,691, with citation-driven visits up 65.1% (28,325 to 46,778) against crawler visits up 19.8% (43,102 to 51,630), a 3.3x divergence, plus the mix shift from 39.6% to 47.5% and a 67/33 split of panel sites growing versus falling. Index #1 established that AI crawlers already out-hit Googlebot while returning under 1% of visitors; Issue 3 then reversed direction with crawler requests up 33.2% and user-triggered fetches down 34.6%.

Ezy offers (Alternative, Sentiment) — 95,691 classified AI visits in the most recent 30-day window across 173 sites, up from 69,916 in the prior window, each labelled as citation-driven or crawler. Roughly 100,000 labelled AI visit events per month, accumulating monthly across a fixed panel - modest in absolute size but unusually clean, since it is server-side first-party log data rather than inferred..
The rare alt-data source that quantifies the give-and-take between AI platforms and content owners: how much content AI operators extract versus how much human traffic they return, which is the central evidence need in publisher-versus-AI licensing negotiations and in policy debate over AI content use; measurement of search-to-AI traffic substitution by tracking AI crawlers overtaking Googlebot, useful for anyone modelling the decline of traditional search referral; a monthly early-indicator series for the health of AI-driven referral, valuable to publishers, ad-supported media investors and equity analysts covering digital media; ground-truth validation for AI-traffic classifiers; and volatility data, since the reversal between Issues 2 and 3 shows month-to-month swings large enough to make single-month claims unreliable.
