A cross-border consumer payment panel that carries an unusually direct nationality signal, because nationality is implied by the wallet a traveller pays with rather than estimated. Two directions are measured. Inbound: visitors to China paying through foreign-card-in-China binding and through their own home e-wallets routed over the Alipay+ interoperability network, disclosed for the recent holiday window as growing close to 70 per cent year on year, ranked by city consumption across Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Yiwu, Chengdu, Chongqing, Nanjing and Xi'an, and ranked by sending market, with Hong Kong, Kazakhstan and Malaysia cited as the highest-value home-wallet markets. Category detail covers dining, transport, retail, travel services, ride-hailing, public transit, food ordering, power-bank rental, car hire and vehicle refuelling and charging, and a departing-tax-refund series is disclosed separately with transaction counts and a roughly two-minute settlement claim at instant-refund merchants in named cities. Outbound: Chinese tourists paying with Alipay abroad, disclosed as growing fastest in Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Indonesia and Vietnam, with overseas ride-hailing transaction counts up 115 per cent year on year. The underlying network spans 50-plus mobile payment providers, 10-plus national switches, 220-plus markets and roughly 150 million QR plus 150 million NFC-accepting merchants.
