A crowd-sourced, sensorised-vessel ocean observation network: camera plus software-defined-radio telemetry mounted on civilian and commercial vessel masts, producing open-ocean video and radio-frequency observations where satellites and shore AIS receivers have blind spots. Concretely: geotagged 360° HD day/night video of vessel encounters, independently-received AIS/ADS-B/VHF/radar signals with source localisation (i.e. an opportunity to check a vessel's broadcast against what was actually observed), onboard AI detections and activity classifications, all time-synchronised and streamed at sub-5-second latency across 650+ vessels in 25 countries.
