PolicyMate

A real-time local-government agenda and proceeding monitor, assembled per customer: every city and county council, planning commission, zoning and permitting board and board of appeal in the customer's chosen jurisdictions, plus local media coverage and community-group activity on those matters. Tracked to item level — individual agenda items, staff reports, hearing notices, minutes, applications and appeals — each with its source document attached and comment deadlines captured. Coverage is configured per client in under a week and adjusts continuously, so the corpus is organised around client-relevant agenda items rather than as a fixed nationwide table.

Dataset card

Type: not stated
Format: Multimodal — agenda items and hearing records as structured metadata (body, jurisdiction, item, dates, deadlines) each linked to the underlying source document (agendas, staff reports, packets, minutes, typically PDF or agendanet/legistar-style portals), plus harvested local-media articles and community-group commentary, delivered as real-time alerts and a review interface.
Volume: Est. tens of thousands to low hundreds of thousands of tracked agenda items to date — coverage is built per customer on request ('tell us the jurisdictions you're following'), so volume is a function of client demand rather than a fixed nationwide ingest, and is therefore narrower and less uniform than the nationwide scanners in this pool. Includes full source documents plus linked media and community-group items for each tracked matter.
Users: ~10-60 accounts (est.: demo-booked, hand-configured onboarding with no self-serve signup and no published pricing, at a 3-person company — each account requires the vendor to build coverage, which caps volume tightly; institutional seats, not consumer registrations)
History: not stated
Update frequency: not stated
Growth: Active — early and manual: a live demo-booking sales motion, solution pages being extended into named verticals beyond land use, and a coverage model that expands as clients request jurisdictions. Growth is constrained by the fact that every new client requires hand-built coverage, which is a deliberate service model rather than a stalled product.
Launched: ~2024-2025 (3-person company with an organization record established around 2024; a fully demo-gated product with no public pricing and hand-built per-client coverage indicates a recent, pre-scale launch)
