LOKOJAbuyer room · privateManage buyer room
Two deliberately separated datasets. (1) PRICE/COST LAYER: end-to-end trade pricing across 67 Nigerian markets for 8 staples, built from three labelled layers — World Bank Real-Time Food Prices (model-estimated, monthly, back to 2007), WFP market monitoring (enumerator-observed, monthly rotating, plus a Kenya layer), and Lokoja's own weekly field ambassadors. Crucially it prices the trade, not just the commodity: corridor spreads quoted NET OF HAULAGE using a fixed loading cost plus per-tonne-km trucking rates calibrated from working Nigerian transporters, corrected for road circuity and indexed weekly to the national diesel price, with unviable spreads suppressed and conflict corridors excluded rather than priced as if safe. The ambassador layer is genuinely proprietary — contracted insiders at Dawanau (Kano), Mile 12 (Lagos) and Onitsha Main Market filing structured weekly reports under a personal-observation declaration covering per-bag prices in trader units, supply levels, diesel and pump prices, real transport quotes, market disruptions and trader counts. (2) DEMAND-SIGNAL LAYER: every WhatsApp assistant question logged as a structured, time-stamped record — commodity, location, trade size, language.
