Coverage spans the full discount spectrum — manufacturer rebates, cash contributions, scrappage schemes, government programmes and stock-clearance discounts — recorded per model against list price, yielding a potential transaction price. Critically it is model-mix weighted: each offer is weighted by where registration volumes actually concentrate, so the panel reports realised discount pressure rather than an unweighted average of advertised offers.
