Latent two-part asset:

GFAIManage supplier listing

Latent two-part asset: (1) a normalized, machine-readable German grid-charge and regulatory reference dataset — network-usage/demand charges (also called service price, performance price, grid usage charge) by voltage level and grid operator, plus annually published peak load time windows per operator/voltage band, and the StromNEV §19 atypical-grid-use materiality thresholds; (2) customer-side quarter-hourly industrial load profiles with the peak-load-window demand reductions actually achieved, held as modelling inputs inside the tool. Neither the tariff table nor the load profiles exist as a licensable bulk product today — network operators publish windows per operator in scattered PDF/HTML, and load profiles stay inside each utility.

Type

Format
Tabular time series (quarter-hourly load points) + structured reference tables (tariff/fee matrices, seasonal window schedules)
Volume
Est. 1-4M quarter-hourly load points per 100 modelled connections per year (35,045 points per connection per year); plus a reference layer covering essentially all German distribution and transmission operators × 3 voltage bands × 4 seasonal windows annually — on the order of tens of thousands of normalized fee/window records per tariff year
Users
Licensed institutional seats only — est. low hundreds of German utilities, project developers and large industrial consumers running TOP-Energy (inferred from GFaI's ~97 staff and the German utility/consultancy client base for the TOP software family)
History
7 years
Update frequency
not stated
Growth
Active — German peak-load-window and grid-fee rules are revised annually and the documentation covers the 2023 window schedule, so the dataset refreshes every tariff year; GFaI remains a staffed (~97 people) active research association
Launched
~2014-2017 (inferred: GFaI's TOP software family — TOP-Grid, TOP-Com — predates TOP-Energy, and the peak-load-window and §19 tariff-optimisation features were added later; no explicit launch year on this page)
