Provenance
How records are made, keyed and revised.
- Record grain
- One regulatory filing: a single document published by a listed company through an official disclosure channel (annual report, interim report, earnings release, transcript, presentation, prospectus, insider transaction, ESG report), stored as published plus its structured Markdown conversion and normalized metadata.
- Primary key
- filing_id (immutable integer, unique per filing). Companies carry a stable internal company_id plus ISIN, LEI, and FIGI mappings.

Documents are acquired directly from official regulatory and exchange disclosure channels in each of 60 markets through a mix of feeds and automated collection. The raw document is always preserved exactly as published. Structured layers (Markdown, standardized financials, taxonomy classification) are derived in-house from those primary documents.
The raw filing is preserved verbatim and never altered. On top of it we apply: deduplication; entity resolution to a stable company record with ISIN, LEI, and FIGI; classification into a 30-type, 11-category filing taxonomy with fiscal year and period extraction; conversion to structured Markdown for machine consumption; and extraction of standardized financial statement line items. No imputation is applied to document content; delivered text is what the issuer published.
release_datetime is the official publication time from the disclosure channel; added_to_platform is our ingestion time; updated_date plus a per-filing audit trail record any metadata revision.
Raw documents are immutable once ingested; content is never rewritten. Metadata can be revised (for example a filing reclassified or an exact duplicate removed), and every state transition is logged in a per-filing audit trail exposed via the API, including timestamps and old and new values. Historical backfills add new records carrying their original publication timestamps, with ingestion timestamps kept separate, so consumers can always distinguish backfilled history from new arrivals and reconstruct what was known at any point in time. Schema changes are versioned and announced through the API changelog before release.
