A census-scale as-built construction specification database for new US homes, harvested as a byproduct of mandatory energy modelling. Every home rated for energy compliance is entered into Ekotrope RATER by its rater — construction plans plus inspection results — producing a fully documented bill of construction materials and systems: building envelope composition by assembly (exterior walls, ceilings and roofs, framed floors) with insulation materials and R-values, fenestration, HVAC and water-heating equipment and fuel, ventilation, duct and air-sealing performance, code-compliance basis and the resulting HERS index score, plus eligibility flags for programmes such as the 45L tax credit and shifting utility rebates. Roughly one million homes and growing at nearly 400,000 homes per year, regionally sliceable, and published as an anonymized market-intelligence dashboard.
