A quarter-century of perimeter and fenceline ambient air monitoring at remediation and industrial sites — roughly 280 sites across 25 states since 2000, much of it at manufactured gas plant and other contaminated-site cleanups — captured through a patented monitoring architecture (US Patent 6,114,964, 2000) and continuously transmitted to local or cloud servers with customisable dashboards, automatic redundant archival and QA/QC under two service models (turn-key on-site operation, or client-operated with the company handling data management and alarm response). Compound-specific VOC speciation comes from a field gas chromatograph rather than only a TVOC number, alongside real-time TVOC in ppb/ppm, PM and dust, SO2, ammonia, H2S, fumigants such as 1-bromopropane, ozone and NO2, plus full meteorological data from instrumented weather stations, with passive PUF and TSP samplers providing integrated co-located confirmation. The byproducts worth licensing are: (a) an exceptionally long, method-stable baseline for soil-vapour and ambient VOC behaviour at contaminated sites — exactly the site-by-time structure needed to train and validate vadose-zone and soil-vapour-attenuation models; (b) fenceline-plus-meteorology pairs with downwind/upwind receptor attribution, i.e. cause-and-effect concentration fields a single regulatory ambient station cannot resolve; (c) regulatory and complaint-driven exceedance event records tied to permit conditions and NJDEP perimeter-air-monitoring guidance, a method this company's patented system helped establish; (d) odour and terpene time-series from cannabis and other odour-sensitive operations, including the counterintuitive finding that scrubbers are frequently run when odour sits below any actionable threshold; and (e) a rare agricultural dataset — gas-chromatograph terpene assays showing that red-light-cycle variation changes terpene content in genetically identical plants.
